Every condition rule, written out
Health apps usually ask you to trust that the rules inside them are sound. These are the rules. All 16 of them, with the threshold that fires each one, the exact sentence you will see, and the guidance it came from.

How to read these pages
Each rule has three parts. The trigger is the actual threshold in the engine, usually a figure per 100 g, because that is the one number every label in every country has to carry. What Verella says is the sentence, word for word, that appears in the app. The source is the published guidance the rule was written from.
A rule is not a verdict. Each one nudges the score and adds a note, and the verdict comes out of all of them together with the nutrition and the ingredient list. How that works in full.
Every rule here encodes broadly published patient guidance, hedged on purpose, and defers to your own care team. Verella cannot know whether you are in a flare or in remission, and most of this guidance differs between the two.
Verella provides general nutrition information. It is not medical or dietary advice and it is not a substitute for a doctor or a registered dietitian.
Beyond conditions
Your allergens run on every scan whatever else you have set, and so does the ingredient watchlist.
- The ten flagged ingredients, each tied to a regulator that acted on it.
- How the engine decides, including the four caps that override everything else.
